As a gambler, I automatically think that I know more about a game than the average joe public bettor. This is probably not true, but my point is that sometimes the obvious answer is directly in front of you.


The Chicago Bears have not covered the spread since November 1st when they destroyed the Browns 30-6. They have run off 7 straight against the spread losses (See all NFL ATS Records), making them public enemy #1 for sports bettors. Trends and streaks must come to an end folks and I think that the Bears will actually play some inspired football Monday night against the Vikings.


Adrian Peterson continues to have a somewhat of an “off” season and the bloom is now officially off the rose between Favre and Childress. I actually expect Brad Childress to flex some muscle this week and pull Favre to prove that he is in charge. No matter what happens, the focus has been taken off the field and brought distraction to the Vikings locker room. Take the Bears plus the points and fade the betting public here, as they have placed over 70% of their bets on Favre and the Vikings.
